The Constitution of the Republic of Crimea
   The document   was  adopted  on  11  April  2014  and  came  into  force  on  13  April  2014.  Article  28 guarantees everyone   the  right  to  own  property,  possess, use and dispose of it both individually and jointly. The inviolability of property is guaranteed and  the  expropriation  of  property  for  public  use  is permitted on condition of prior and fair compensation by court order only.

Article 28

1. The right to private property is protected by law.

2. Everyone has the right to own property and to possess, use and dispose of it either individually or jointly with others.

3. No one may be deprived of his property except by court order. Expropriation of property for public use may be made only subject to prior and fair compensation.

4. The right of inheritance is guaranteed.

3. The Head of the Republic of Crimea may be a citizen of the Russian Federation which in accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the federal law has passive suffrage, does not have citizenship of a foreign State or a residence permit or other document confirming the right of permanent residence of a citizen of the Russian Federation on the territory of a foreign state and reached the age of 30 years. Other restrictions on passive electoral rights of citizens are established by federal law.
